Émilie Simon, una chica de 30 años que parece un extraño personaje salido de un cuento de hadas cibernético y post-urbano, ha entrado por la puerta grande con su álbum autotitulado del 2003, seguido del soundtrack de La Marche de l'empereur (2005), Végétal (2006) y el álbum y dvd en vivo À L'Olympia (2007), que registra todas las audacias sonoras que ella y su equipo son capaces de reproducir sobre el escenario, tal como ella las ha logrado sola en su estudio cuando investiga las posibilidades del sonido más allá de las instrumentaciones convencionales.
